Our ten-step process makes fleet remanufacturing easy and affordable
Assess
STEP 1
The intake assessment allows us to verify the requirements envisioned during the photo assessment and discussions with fleet personnel. For running and driving units, a road test adds to the lift inspection that produces a revised intake assessment and final quote.
Recover Fluids & Wash
STEP 2
Once the scope of work is defined, we recover refrigerant, lubricants, and fuel as required to protect the vehicle and personnel. The unit is then cleaned to perform the REMAN services.
Tear Down
STEP 3
Many times, separating the cab from the chassis is advantageous to add value to both. This often reduces the overall time required since the chassis components are easily accessed.
Powertrain
STEP 4
The engine, transmission and gearbox are removed and replaced; they are linked to the VIN and supported by the nationwide dealer network. Differentials are most often inspected and serviced but replaced if needed.
Suspension
STEP 5
Similar to powertrain, suspension components including steering gears and brakes are removed and replaced. Springs are inspected and replaced if needed; wheels and tires are replaced as required.
Mechanical
STEP 6
The AC compressor, condenser and evaporator; along with the heater core, blower motor, and associated hoses are replaced in this step. Power steering and water pumps are addressed here along with the starter and alternator.
Interior
STEP 7
While chassis work progresses, items like seats, the steering wheel, the dash, door panels, door seals, weather-stripping, the headliner and flooring are repaired or replaced as needed.
Paint, Body, and Glass
STEP 8
As the last cab step, dent / ding repair, primer and final paint combine with glass replacement combine to finish the exterior work.
Reassemble
STEP 9
With all cab and chassis work completed, the two are put back together. Any specialized service body or upfit items are completed in this step.
Quality Inspection and Road Test
STEP 10
Once aligned, a road test, drive-cycle miles, and quality inspections complete the reman process.
